I am going to try to let the pictures do the talking, other than to say this. The design sought to use a radial approach rather than using rectangular platform pieces screwed together. The turntables were turned by hand, by stagehands cleverly hidden by curtains on the outside, upstage edges of the tables. The 2x4 frames that ran the diameter of each table held lauan flats that hooked onto the frames simply. They were painted on each side for a different location, and we had three sets of flats, total, creating 5 different locations (one set was one-sided). See the set pictures for examples of what the final effect looked like. Please feel free to ask any questions about the design, etc. There is one thing I'd change for the future, but you have to ask to see it... You can email me at my first name @ my full name .com...if that's confusing, sorry: the spammers deluge me if I put actual email addresses on my site! |
